To celebrate the 200-year anniversary of Getzner, Getzner Werkstoffe and Getzner Textil set themselves the challenge of entering one big joint team in the "Bludenz-läuft" race. More than 400 participants gathered at the starting line on 15th April.
On 15th April, Bludenz: was on the move. The race was being held in the alpine town for the 17th time and several sports enthusiasts from the Getzner Group were among the participants. The idea was, in keeping with the spirit of the company anniversary in 2018, to get 200 runners from Getzner Textil and Getzner Werkstoffe to the starting line. In the end there were twice as many starters: more than 400 employees of the Getzner Group took part. "The race marked a successful start to the 200th anniversary celebrations," says Georg Comploj, Chief Executive Officer of the holding company Getzner, Mutter & Cie. Banners and bow flags bearing the 200-year logo were displayed along the route and the runners from both companies wore branded t-shirts and jackets. Getzner also sponsored two exciting events: the "Getzner Textil Handicaplauf" for disabled athletes and the "Getzner City Walk".
The evening before the event, a special tent was set up and all Getzner participants invited to a pasta party in order to prepare them for the race ahead. The carbohydrates gave them energy for the run and the atmosphere strengthened team spirit.
Impressive overall result
The Getzner team, consisting of members of all three companies, has won the special prize for the largest group. In the company ranking of the Raiffeisen company run, Getzner took 2nd place in the category "71+ employees".
