Bludenz (AT): In gratitude to its employees, the Getzner Group organised a big celebration and family party for the Getzner team and their relatives on the occasion of the company's 200th anniversary. 5000 guests gathered at the sites of Getzner Textil and Getzner Werkstoffe in Bludenz and Buers.

Under the motto "Curiosity drives us forward", the highlight of Getzner's 200th anniversary celebrations took place last weekend: an anniversary celebration on September 7 and a family party on September 8, 2018 at Getzner Textil in the heart of Bludenz and at the Getzner Werkstoffe site in Buers. For one weekend, the three companies – Getzner Textil, Getzner Werkstoffe and the holding company, Getzner, Mutter & Cie. – gave three cheers to their employees and invited them and their families to celebrate and enjoy the festivities together.

Show and music at the anniversary celebration
The first big item on the agenda was the anniversary celebration. Host Christiane Schwald oversaw the evening, which not only included a varied show and music programme, but also contributions from the Getzner employees themselves: and not only the CEOs. In addition to Georg Comploj from the holding company Getzner, Mutter & Cie., Roland Comploj from Getzner Textil and Juergen Rainalter von Getzner Werkstoffe, guests also heard from apprentices and other employees from the various departments of the three companies. Among the guests were the deputy minister-president of Vorarlberg Karlheinz Ruedisser and the mayors of Bludenz and Buers Mandi Katzenmayer and Georg Bucher

Celebrating with the whole family
On Saturday, Getzner invited not only the employees but also their families to the big family party. The employees took the opportunity to show their partners, children or parents their workplace at Getzner during the factory tours. Throughout the day there was plenty of musical entertainment – including from the Stadtmusik Bludenz group – and many other activities, such as a flight with AirWings and an extensive children's programme. "The purpose of the festival was to make our employees happy; after all, they are ultimately the ones who make our companies' success possible – and we have certainly been successful. We are pleased that so many have taken part and it's nice to see how such a celebration unites people," summarises Georg Comploj on the 200th anniversary celebrations for the workforce.
